World of Scragz

Best of Bootlegs by Scragz, July 2009

The first show I went to after I got my recorder. Lots of Saxophones. Orange Coax from Texas was exceptional.

Nofest in St. Johns..

The Camel House show on the 2nd was great. First time I’d seen Battlehooch, one of my new favs.

Resistance Fest NW was pretty fun, even when I got attacked by ducks.

The unfortunately named Da Punx Palace hosted a brilliant performance by Songs For Moms.

I saw Nucular Aminals a slew of times at their Berbati’s residency (and here and here with Terraform). This time with Mark Mallman, who was hilarious.

I ended up going to other shows during most of PDX Pop Now. I managed to catch a couple things on the first day, the most notable being Chamber of Commerce.

Josh Harper’s epic birthday party is why I missed a big chunk of PDX Pop Now. I saw Evolutionary Jass Band a few other times this month but this was by far the best. And One Disaster Short of a Country Song really funny.

Went up to Seattle to the Funhouse to see Nobunny. I think they played better at Work/Sound but my recorder got turned off.

Wrapping up the month with an awesome show at the Salad House.
